LUKA Classes are started in 2023 with the aim to bring up the children of our community with our rich culture and heritage. LUKA Classes are for children aged 5 years & above and run at Lewsey Farm Learning Centre, LU4 0QQ, every week on Friday evening.
Carnatic Music
LUKA Music class students enjoy the Carnatic Music lessons. They start learning Saptaswaras. Carnatic music is not just an art form but also a spiritual and cultural experience.
Malayalam
LUKA Malayalam class is conducted in association with Malayalam Mission UK chapter. Children enjoy learning Aksharamala using songs and they are excited to hear stories every lesson
Bollywood Dance
Class is based on Bollywood and Cinematic songs. We have children starting from the age of 5 onwards for the lessons. They learn a small piece of dance on every class . All children are excited to be in the class.
Classical Dance
Class is based on Indian dance form, Bharatanatyam. Lessons will start with stretches and students learn Mudras and Adavus. They also learn a dance piece, which gives them opportunity to perform on stages
